West of Princes Street, the West End has the city’s theatre quarter around the Usher Hall, the Lyceum and the Traverse, and Filmhouse on Lothian Road; Victorian terraces run towards Haymarket station, and the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art stands on Belford Road.

The Usher Hall, the Royal Lyceum, the Traverse and Filmhouse within a few minutes’ walk.
Modern art
Modern One and Modern Two on Belford Road, reached along the Water of Leith from Dean Village.
Combine a matinée with Modern One and Two.
